Melon-icious Tetris Salad

As you may have seen- it is raining melons in the Pods this week! Here is a fun, colourful and super fresh way to serve up all this gorgeous produce! Get out some of your Minifarms Honey for a super tasty vinaigrette.If you are in one of our locations now serving cheese- you can experiment- feta, or any other cheese you might serve with melon will work perfectly.


Looking to adapt? This salad is perfect- put in some cubed tomatoes, try oregano instead of basil- throw on a few olives!

Feel like an entertaining superstar serving up this cheerful and stunning salad- perfect for any occasion!

What You Need:

  • 2 cups 2 cm cubed watermelon
  • 1/4 medium canteloupe 2 cm cubed
  • 1/4 medium honeydew melon 2 cm cubed
  • 2 mini or lebanese cucumbers cut into 2 cm lengths and trimmed on the sides if needed
  • 1 cup 2 cm cubed Feta approximate
  • 6-10 radishes cut into 2 cm cubes or thereabout
  • 1/3 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 red onion cut into very thin rings
  • fresh mint and/or basil chopped for garnish
  • flakey sea salt and coarse black pepper for finishing

Honey Lemon Vinaigrette

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2-3 tbsp runny honey
  • salt and pepper to taste

What To Do:

  1. Whisk all the vinaigrette ingredients together. Taste and re-season as desired.
  2. This can be stored in the fridge till needed. Bring to room temperature before using.
  3. Arrange the cubed melons, cucumbers, cheese and radishes onto a platter.
  4. Scatter the blueberries and red onions over everything.
  5. Drizzle with the dressing. Finish with the mint and a sprinkling of flakey salt and coarse pepper.
